The Writing Center provides support for student writers at any point in their writing process. Writing is one of the best tools students have for deep learning. As writing is a social process, working with a peer consultant to get feedback is the best way to develop writing skills. The Writing Center consultants are specially trained in the practice and theory of collaborative learning. Our consultants are selected from your peers, so you will work with someone who can understand your experience. They will spend one-on-one time working with students at any point in the process:

• brainstorming and mining for those first ideas
• crafting a thesis
• organization
• tracking grammatical patterns that need improvement
• citation styles
• feedback on presentations
• clarifying assignment guidelines and expectations.

The Writing Center offers three types of appointments: in-person, virtual, and written feedback.
