At the center of the CDE’s efforts is the 数字导航员服务, which provides 免费，个性化的支持—by phone, online, and/or in person—to help residents confidently access and use digital tools that support their daily lives.

社区 members can request support by submitting a ticket on the CDE网站 or by calling 3-1-1 in Mecklenburg County or 2-1-1 in surrounding counties and asking to connect with a CDE Digital Navigator.

At the core of the 数字公平中心’s collaborative model is the 社区委员会—a space where residents, nonprofit leaders, and partner organizations come together to shape the region’s digital opportunity strategy. 该委员会扩大了社区的声音，分享了生活经验，并帮助共同创造了可扩展的、包容性的数字获取和采用方法。

To drive this work forward, the CDE organizes efforts into 五个重点领域, each designed to meet community needs while activating existing assets and partnerships:

建立在社区基础上的基金会

The CDE was formed by combining two long-standing efforts—数字夏洛特 and the 夏洛特数码融合联盟—and has grown into a trusted regional leader in digital inclusion. As the lead digital equity partner in the 市长种族平等倡议, the CDE has helped guide over $20 million in private investment toward equitable digital access.

Supported by the 奈特基金会 and other funders, the CDE implemented a 五年计划 to expand services and partnerships across every county in North and South Carolina, while also modeling replicable systems that can inspire nationwide change.
